DR. DANG VU TRAN - General Practitioner

 

Dr Dang Vu Tran grew up in the Western Sydney, the second son of a military officer veteran in the Republic of South Vietnam, a refugee since the fallen of Saigon. I migrated to Australia with his parent after the Vietnam War as political refugee. I completed High School and graduated in medicine from Sydney university. 
In further training, I completed and is a member of Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (RACGP).  He has an interest in traditional acupuncturist as a fellow member of Australian Medical Acupuncture College (AMAC) applying TCM approach using needle, ear beads and laser for acupuncture treatment.
I am the principal who established Medlife Family Medical Centre in 2006 which is a modern, GP owned family-friendly orientated medical practice situated in South-West suburbs with multi-cultural population and diversity of medical presentation.

We offer a contemporary medical setting that is modern, bulk-billing, fully accredited by the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL). We pride ourselves in family-centred care, comprehensive patient centred medical care and consultations.

I have been enjoying my career as a General Practitioner, offering multidisciplinary diversity of care for patient every day in general practice to provide patient needs and in caring for you and your family.

Our mission is to provide the best quality of care for patient. By incorporate both western medicine as well as complimentary medicine as an alternative treatment for suitable patient with Traditional Acupuncture (Traditional Chinese Medicine) as alternative treatment for chronic pain management, multiple physical and psychological problems. I have an interest in traditional acupuncturist as a fellow member of Australian Medical Acupuncture College (AMAC) applying TCM approach using needle, ear beads and laser for acupuncture treatment.

I also have an interest in dermatology, skin cancer treatment with the Diploma in Dermatology and skin cancer prevention.

We believe in preventative medicine with screening, regular check-ups and preventative measures, as "prevention is better than cure" for A Happier, Healthier You.

Dr Phu Hoang (PhD, Usyd) - Senior Physiotherapist 

 

Medlife Physiotherapy Clinic is run by Dr Phu Hoang (PhD, Usyd). Dr Hoang is a consultant senior physiotherapist at Multiple Sclerosis Plus, an academic at the University of New South Wales, Australia Catholic University and Neuroscience Research Australia. Dr Hoang is also an experienced clinical physiotherapist in the fields of both musculoskeletal and neurological problems with more than 20 years working with patients under workcover and motor vehicle accident insurance, and patients with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, stroke.

 

With a medical background trained in Vietnam, Dr Hoang understands the complex interconnections of body systems, and provides a comprehensive assessment to have a clear diagnosis and understanding of the patient’s condition.

 

At Medlife Physiotherapy Clinic evidence-based treatments are provided to help a person to achieve set goals. With a broad range of experience, Dr Hoang will give treatments and advice on some common conditions below.

Viet Thang Tran - Psychologist

Viet Thang Tran, B. Science (Psychology) and Post Graduated Diploma in Psychology, is a bilingual psychologist who came to Australia as a refugee in 1983 and started to help the newly arrived refugees from a number of migrant centres in 1984 via a program funded by the Department of Immigration and Ethnic Affairs.

Between 1985 and 2000, Viet Thang has worked for Barnardos Australia (a charity organisation), counselling Indo-Chinese youth with severe behavioural and emotional problems.

In 2001, Viet Thang worked as a research assistant at the Bankstown Anxiety Clinic. He has also worked for Unitingcare in Cabramatta to provide counselling, treatment, and support of drug-affected families in the area.

From 2002 to April 2016, Viet Thang worked as a bilingual psychologist for the South Western Sydney Health Service to provide therapeutic counselling to children, adults, and families with psychosocial issues in the South Western Sydney region. He has also worked as psychologist in private practice since 2006. Viet Thang is a Member of Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and is also a Registered Work-cover provider.

 

Currently, Viet Thang is working as Clinical Specialist Sessional Consultant for NSW Transcultural Mental Health Centre. Viet Thang also works for Medlife Family Medical Centre to provide psychological treatment for children, adolescents, and adults with psychological issues especially Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Disorder, and Stress

Vincent Le - Podiatrist

 

I am a registrar with the Australian Podiatry Association (APodA).

 

Since graduating the Bachelor of Podiatry at University of Newcastle, I have worked in a range of Australian healthcare settings providing podiatric care which includes the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.

 

I highly recommend elderly patients to have regular podiatric care which is an essential aspect of falls prevention. I am qualified to offer safe, professional and effective clinical podiatry care services such as alleviating foot pain to maintain mobility and decrease the risk of complications such as ulceration and lower limb amputations.

 

I also design and make custom orthotics and accept almost all private health funds and can offer you professional advice and corrective steps to better care for your feet. Joseph Bitar - Chiropractor

 

Joseph has completed a Bachelors of Applied Vision sciences from the University of Sydney and both a Graduate Diploma and Masters in Chiropracc Science from Macquarie University. He has worked as a chiropractor for over 7 years. Joseph has a vast knowledge in elderly care having worked within an aged care facility for over 5 years while servicing the local community within GP clinics. Joseph other special interest is in chronic pain management working alongside GPs and other allied health

professionals.

Joseph offers hands on approach within the clinic with services including and not limited to dry needling, cupping, vibration therapy, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, soft tissue release, manipulations and mobilisations. Joseph believes that the best  care is also followed through with self care as a result Joseph provides personalised exercise/rehab programs to help further your progress leading you on the best road to being as pain free as possible.

Joseph currently works in Medlife Family Medical pracce on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
